Good First Quarter for 888.Com

It was a good first quarter for 888.com. The company is seeing strong performance from its online casinos and online bingo operations.  Their net revenues are $64 million, up 38 percent over the same time last year and better than fourth quarter 2007.  The company also says their growth is continuing into the second quarter of 2008.

Their online casino operations contributed $35million to revenues, up 35 percent over the same period for last year.  Poker net revenues climbed 5 percent to $22 million.  This was an improvement over the previous quarter growth of 2%.  Emerging offerings added $8 million to revenues which was a 23 percent increase.

888.Com also saw an increase of 2% in online casino and poker players.  The company now has more than 213,000 active players, which is up 2 percent from the previous quarter and up 3.5 percent from the comparable period of 2007.  They saw an increase of 19 percent in their first time depositors. 

888.Com’s financial position has been helped by their new sports book and online bingo operations and its Live Dealer products.  They expect to experience good growth throughout 2008, even through the slow season.  The gaming company’s stock price rose in London on hearing their strong financial performance.
